Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 2 anthem ‘Seeti Baje Gi‘ impressed the fans so much that the subsequent Seasons 3, 4 and 5 failed to attract the attention of the fans.
The official anthem for PSL 2 was sung by Ali Zafar, which was loved by fans so much that everyone in the rest of the editions set their expectations for the PSL song.
But PSL’s 3, 4 and 5 season anthems have disappointed fans so much that they request the singer through memes and posts on social media every year. The PSL anthem is yours to sing, so far there is no one like your standard.
On February 20, the fifth edition of PSL kicked off, with the opening ceremony once again performed by PSL 5 ‘Tayyar Hain‘ by singers Ali Azmat, Asim Azhar, Haroon and Arif Lohar. On which fans once again expressed strong disapproval on social media.
Ali Zafar declared his own popular song ‘Seeti Baje Gi‘ sinister because of his constant criticism of the PSL 2020 anthem by fans.
Ali Zafar shared a video message on his Twitter account saying, “If there is a problem in your life, a marital problem or a social problem, if your business is not running, the song is not playing or the event is not gone. You will not be responsible for all of this, of course it will be Ali Zafar.
The singer said that I am responsible because I am so powerful that there are bloggers on my payroll, what is Cambridge Analytica, what Trump did, but who got it done by the elect … Your brother (Ali Zafar), therefore, put a dart board in your room. Put my picture on it and wake up every morning and kill it so that your heart will be lightened.
Ali added, “But if you want me to come and stand there myself, then a brother is present for that too, with this hope.”
As Ali Zafar goes on to express hope in the video, ‘Seeti Baje Gi‘ the song sounds, to which he exclaims, “Stop this song for God’s sake.”
In the end, Ali said, “If you have any problems with this hope, sleep peacefully at night because your brother is always present for you.”
