Former Pakistan fast bowler and cricket analyst Shoaib Akhtar has resigned from PTV after an unfortunate incident between Rawalpindi Express and host Dr. Nauman Niaz in the popular show Game On Hai on Tuesday. As Shoaib Akhtar was going through some small things about cricket – during which he credited the Pakistan Super League’s Lahore Qalandars team for discovering Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. “You’re a little rude and I don’t mean that at all: but if you’re smarter, you can go now. I’m saying these words on air.” Host Niaz told Shoaib to shorten it and went to the next guest for his comment. It was not clear what rubbed Niaz in the wrong way, and it seems Shoaib himself was shocked. As tensions rose on the floor after the disruption, Niaz called a commercial break.

Several clips from the show’s segment are circulating rapidly on social media, with a large number of Shoaib’s supporters expressing frustration and outrage against Noman Niaz for insulting a legendary cricketer on a live TV channel.
