Recently Mahira Khan is playing the character of Mehreen in the recently airing drama Hum Kahan Ke Sachy Thay. Her character in HkkST is not much different from Humsafar’s. HKKST is presenting Aswad as an abusive and ignorant husband who is just a crazy being and likes to create drama over every minor thing. His loud tone just like Ashar from Humsafar frightens Mehreen. She was of the view that type of character can not be shown as a hero and her very statement has bothered the netizens a lot. She was stating that we cannot present a woman being assaulted and falling in love with an abusive man and a hero cannot be a person who is abusive. Now she is the one who is shown as a woman who is being assaulted by her husband and similarly is falling in love with that man.
