The pandemic has brought a huge loss for filmmakers all over the world. For the past 2 years, no films have been released in Pakistani cinema too. This has brought a huge downfall for Pakistani films and cinema. This year brought the hope of the release of all films that were waiting for year or more.
So a total number of five Pakistani films and an international movie have been released this year on Eid ul Fitr. And it’s not shocking to hear that Saba Qamar’s starrer film Ghabrana Nahi Hai has been leading all those. The film has crossed almost 3 crores or more since now. According to the audience, Ghabrana Nahi Hai is a must-watch for the ones who love thrill and laughter.
The second film that has earned almost 2.85 crore views since now is none other than Imran Ashraf’s Dum Mastam. Dum Mastam is the debut film of Imran Ashraf and it is behind Ghabrana Nahi Hai by just a small number. Dum Mustam has almost earned equal views to Ghabrana Nahi Hai despite the fact that it has a lesser number of screens as compared to that. The film that is now on the third number is Parde Mein Rehne Do.
Hania Aamir’s Parde Mein Rehne Do has earned till now almost a figure of 2 crores. Then, Neelam Muneer Khan’s starrer Chakkar has gained almost 1.5 crores till now. Saima Noor and Jannat Mirza’s Tere Bajre Di Rakhi is on the fifth number. The international release of Doctor Strange is expected to cross the figure of all those in the expected days. In the end, it is a good start after the pandemic but we can’t say that these films have marked the history because, before the pandemic, some films have earned even 50 and 70 crores.
