Hum television network arranged a fundraising gala in Toronto. They arrange funds for the flood victims in collaboration with the artists and famous celebrities who jetted off to Canada to appear in Hum Awards. The funds will be donated to the institutions that are helping out the families suffering from flood. The total amount assembled at the fundraising gala was approximately 24000 CAD. Many celebrities take part in the occasion including Mahira Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Ushna Shah, Sonya Hussyn, Hania Aamir, Iqra Aziz, Urwa Hocane, Zara Noor Abbas, Ahmed Ali Butt, Reema, Saboor Aly, and many others.
Recently, celebrities were criticized as their country is suffering from hard times and they are enjoying the awards instead of helping them. Hum network is true to its word and fulfill its commitment to using the platform of Hum Awards Canada for the flood affectees and contributing to the relief and rehabilitation efforts. Once again they are winning the hearts of the people of Pakistan.
Other than the artists who were present, the event was also supported by some designers and cricketers like Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad, Shahid Afridi, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shan Maqsood, and Naseem Shah who hand over their signed bats and outfits for the fundraising event.
