You all know that the year 2019 and 2020 has caused difficulties for the whole world because during this time the coronavirus has gripped the whole world. Due to the pandemic, where the economy, education, and business have suffered, the film industries around the world have also been affected. But now slowly the world is moving forward and trying to compensate for the damage that has been done.
Now let’s come to our main topic, you all know that Pakistan’s film industry is developing rapidly. And now the trend is ending in Pakistan that the film will be released only on Eid-ul-Fitr or Eid-ul-Adha, but Pakistani films are being screened in theaters even in normal months. Last Friday ie 25 November 2022, two local films were released in Pakistan, including the film Zarrar and Tich Button. On the other hand, The Legend of Maula Jutt film is busy making a success in the theaters.
At the same time, some people also say that the FIFA World Cup is being watched all over the world and that these two films released in Pakistan will be successful. And looking at the current political situation in Pakistan, it seems that these films will be able to generate as much business as they expect in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. However, the director, producer, and all the cast members of both films have gone to every city to promote the film with great fanfare. And this is what we pray to Allah to make our Pakistani film industry stand in the ranks of Bollywood and Hollywood.
Zarrar Box Office Collection
Shaan Shahid’s much-awaited film Zarrar finally hit the theaters this Friday after much delay. The film brought almost the same numbers as Tich Button as it collected around PKR 8.04 crores in five days. With a better promotional strategy, the film could have had a better opening as the entire cast of the film did not venture outside of Lahore. There was no real purpose to invite the Karachi media only directly to the premiere of the film. Zarrar film’s media partner, HUM TV Network, also added zero input by not properly airing and viewing the film’s promos on its channels. Had HUM TV given him even 10% airtime on the channel for promos of films produced by M&D Productions, the results could have been very different.
Tich Button Box Office Collection
The Farhan Saeed, Feroze Khan, Urwa Hocane, Iman Ali, and Sonya Hussain starrer romantic comedy was the second favorite of the audience after Maula Jat as it collected around PKR 5.08 crore in four days. Due to its cast and music, the film had the potential to open in huge numbers, had it been released on a major festival like Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, or Christmas.
