In one scene of the drama, Yunhi, Bilal Ashraf (Dawood) goes to the airport to pick up his uncle and daughter Maya Ali (Kim). In the scene, Kim says to her father about Dawood, “I think he’s a terrorist,” because he was wearing traditional Muslim clothing, including a prayer cap and shalwar kameez.

The scene was met with negative reactions from the people of Pakistan. Fans expressed that the statement was insulting to those who cherish wearing shalwar kameez, which is a widely recognized national dress. Many found the scene to be hurtful and felt that the shalwar kameez is a source of pride for many Pakistani men.

After this portrayal, how will our children view wearing traditional attire like shalwar kameez and cap? Disgraceful, Hum TV.
