Seemi Jamali was one of the best & greatest doctors in Pakistan. She also served as the Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), a renowned government hospital in Pakistan, for many years. Almost everyone in Pakistan is familiar with her & her accomplishments.
Dr. Seemi Jamali’s fame further skyrocketed when she actively participated in combating the coronavirus in 2019 and took significant measures to control its spread in Pakistan. Regardless of their socioeconomic background, she treated all patients with the same dedication as any other doctor would. She was a woman with a humble & down-to-earth personality.
Unfortunately, Dr. Seemi Jamali is no longer with us as she has passed away. She was diagnosed with colon cancer three years ago & had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for the past several days. Meanwhile, her husband, Dr. AR Jamali, appealed to the public for their prayers.
It has been reported through a viral post that reliable sources have confirmed the news of Seemi Jamali’s demise. She passed away while surrounded by her family. The post also indicates that Seemi’s funeral prayer will be held at JPMC Mosque tomorrow, Sunday, during the Asr prayer. Naturally, upon hearing this news, a wave of sorrow swept across Pakistan.
